英単語の名詞を複数形にするのは大抵の場合、「S」を付ければ良いだけなので簡単です。しかし英語には言語の成り立ちに面白い歴史があります。もとはドイツ語なのですが70％から80％はラテン語の語彙なのです。さらに不規則な複数形の小さな組み合わせでは、英語は外来語の複数形を使用しています。
Making plural nouns in English is usually easy. Just add "s." But the English language has an interesting history. It's a Germanic language, but about 70%-80% of the vocabulary is Latinate. In addition to a small set of native irregular plurals, English uses foreign plurals with loan words.
多くの日本語の単語は簡単です。日本語の単語は複数形の場合、英語も変化しないからです。
In the case of most Japanese words, it's easy. Because there is no change in Japanese, there is no change in English.
しかし、いくつかの単語は英語に表記する際に変化するので気を付けましょう。
例：2 shoguns（将軍）, 2 ninjas (忍者), また着物を2 kimonos という人もいます。
Be careful, though. A few are regular plurals in English; for example, 2 shoguns, 2 ninjas, and some people might say 2 kimonos.

動物の殆どの名前の複数形には「S」が付き変化ますが、幾つかの動物は全く変化しないこともあります。

ガチョウは1 goose, 2 geeseと変化するため、多くの子供は1 moose, 2 meeseと間違えてしまいますが正しくないので注意しましょう。
Because of 1 goose, 2 geese, many children mistakenly say 1 moose, 2 meese, but it's not correct.

パソコンのマウスの場合は2 computer miceではなく2 computer mousesの方がより自然です。
But 2 computer mouses is more correct than 2 computer mice.

蛸は1 octopus, 2 octopodesが正解ですが冗談で2 octopiを使う人が多いです。2 octopusesがアメリカではよく使われます。
1 octopus, 2 octopodes is correct, but many people use 2 octopi as a joke. 2 octopuses is common in America.
