SuperBowl（スーパーボウル）とはアメリカのプロアメリカンフットボールリーグ、NFLの優勝決定戦です。
アメリカで一番人気のあるスポーツは、野球・バスケ・サッカーではなく、ダントツでアメフト（アメリカンフットボールの略）です。
The Superbowl is the championship game of the American Football League (NFL). The most popular sport in America is not baseball, basketball or soccer--it is by far American football (called ame-foot in Japanese).

アメリカではアメフトではなく、「フットボール」と言われています。

スーパーボウルまでの1週間は「スーパーボウル・ウィーク」と呼ばれ、アメリカ全土で数多くのイベントが開催されます。
